VSA arts of Wisconsin gratefully accepts donations of several types: monetary,
in-kind goods or services, memorial
donations or in honor of someone special, as well as time, friendship and
encouragement.
| Dear Friends: The
arts represent a world of resources and opportunities, providing an outlet for
creative expression and unlimited possibilities for personal, academic, and professional
success. And since art is an infinite and unconditional field, individuals with
disabilities find that they can express themselves without physical, social or
attitudinal barriers.
VSA has been conducting arts programs
for individuals with disabilities for more than 20 years. And like everything
else, costs associated with these programs continue to climb. In order to
continue
the quality programs that have become a tradition of our organization, we
need
your help. VSA relies on charitable donations to meet nearly 75% of its annual
budget.
The quotes here (at right) show that VSA is meeting
a need in our state. I encourage you to download the donation form below and help
us make a difference in the lives of many. Sincerely,
Kathie
Wagner President | “I have
taught art to students with disabilities for the past 13 years, but this occasion
[Children’s Art Collection Award Ceremony] touched my heart more than any
other. The artists showed such pride and dignity and for the first time I realized
how much being creative means for a person with disabilities. I always accepted
that it is important but didn’t feel it to the bottom of my boots!”
– Leslie Trewyn, art educator “I always looked
at different art and thought I could do that. Now I know I can.” –
Faye Willems, 2004 AAC award recipient “The teachers
are still talking about the VSA program. You left a legacy.” -- Karen
Lieuallen, Asst. Dir. of Pupil Service, Oshkosh |

people with disabilities. Making a donation can be creative as well.
Examples include: cash; trusts; gift annuities; real estate; life insurance;
bequests; estate gifts; stocks and securities; memorial, birthday, wedding
or anniversary gifts; establishing or contributing to existing VSA Funds
at community foundations in Madison, Milwaukee, South Wood County (Wisconsin
Rapids), or North Central Wisconsin (Wausau). Talk with your attorney
or financial advisor to determine which giving plan is best for you.
**New legislation includes a short-term tax benefit for charitable
distributions made from traditional individual retirement accounts (IRAs)
and Roth IRAs. Individuals at least 70½ years of age can exclude
