11th annual Steve Stricker Golf Exhibition
August 18, 2008,
Cherokee Country Club, Madison

The 11th annual VSA Golf Exhibition with Steve Stricker was held August 18 at Cherokee Country Club in Madison. Nearly 250 people enjoyed a morning watching Stricker, one of the world's top-ranked golfers, play nine holes with event sponsor representatives to support the VSA Art Center. Guests also attended a luncheon with Stricker and some VSA participants whose artwork was on exhibit and available for sale. Attendees bid on several donated silent auction items and were treated to a "conversation" with Stricker by submitting questions he answered in a Q&A.

100% of the golf outing’s tax allowable donations are directed to the VSA Art Center. Established in 1997, the VSA Art Center provides individual and group classes for children and adults with disabilities. Classes are designed to give individuals with disabilities an opportunity to meet new friends, participate in activities outside of home and work, and experience the arts firsthand. Last year, professional artists will conduct 3700 hours of programming in dance, drama, creative writing, music and visual art for nearly 500 participants.
