ArtSparks
in Oshkosh/Neenah
Artist: Jon Wos (pictured center)
VSA
is conducting three 3-hour ArtSparks programs in Oshkosh and Neenah in
2007-2008. The program sites
include Oshkosh North High School and Neenah High School. These programs
are taught by Jonathan Wos, an internationally recognized artist from Oshkosh.
Each program begins with a visual art demonstration. Jon shares information about
his art making, explains some of his drawing techniques, shows images of his
work to the group and answers questions. His presentation is followed by two
interactive workshops for students who have been identified by their teachers
as individuals with an interest in further exploring the visual arts. The students,
with and without disabilities, have the opportunity to work one-to-one with Jon,
learning more about various drawing techniques and working on their own pieces
using pastels. Each workshop is
approximately 60 minutes. |
